505 Games and developer Three One Zero announced today that ADR1FT will release on July 15 in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4, priced at $19.99.
Asked if you need PlayStation VR to play ADR1FT, developer Adam Orth said, “Nope. Regular, non-VR controller-based PS4 game.”
Back in February, Three One Zero confirmed that ADR1FT VR isn’t an Oculus Rift exclusive and “we are working on bringing ADR1FT to other VR platforms,” but “we just aren’t ready to make any announcements about them yet.” It came to HTC Vive in May, but nothing’s been said about a PlayStation VR release date.
Here’s the description for ADR1FT:
ADR1FT is an immersive First Person Experience (FPX) that tells the story of an astronaut in peril. Floating silently amongst the wreckage of a destroyed space station with no memory and a severely damaged EVA suit, the only survivor struggles to determine the cause of the catastrophic event that took the lives of everyone on board. The player fights to stay alive by exploring the wreckage for precious resources, and overcomes the challenges of an unforgiving environment to repair the damaged emergency escape vehicle and safely return home.
An Xbox One release date for ADR1FT wasn’t given today.
