Nick Suttner, who referred to himself as PlayStation’s “indie game champion” has announced his departure from the company after seven years of service. Over on Twitter, Suttner said that he’s “off to new adventures” but didn’t specify where exactly he’s headed to next. He also said that it felt “weird” and “bittersweet” to leave PlayStation.
This feels super weird to say after 7 years, but yesterday was my last day PlayStation. It’s been amazing, but I’m off to new adventures!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of the amazing developers I’ve worked with, and PlayStation fans who’ve enjoyed the results! And so much infinite love and thanks to all of my amazing colleagues who’ve made it a magical place to work for that long. I love you guys.
I have so many people to thank and respond to, and I will, but for now I’m going to focus on this road trip and not on the bittersweetness.
He says he’s traveling up to Portland to “clear my head.”
Gamasutra reports that Suttner worked as a Senior Product Evaluator and Lead Account Manager, helping to “unearth many promising indie titles early on in the development process.”
