Calling it a director’s cut of sorts for the original Read Only Memories on PC, MidBoss announced today that 2064: Read Only Memories is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on August 16 in North America, complete with cross-buy. It’ll cost $19.99 regularly, or $17.99 at launch.
For the PlayStation version, 2064: Read Only Memories includes largely rewritten dialogue, revamped puzzle with more intrigue, and new character animations and profile boxes. You’ll also find voice acting from a cast that includes Dave Fennoy (The Walking Dead), Melissa Hutchinson (The Walking Dead), Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us), Sarah Elmaheh (Gone Home), Zoe Quinn, Jim Sterling, Dan Ryckert, and many more.
The game’s description says:
Read Only Memories is a new cyberpunk adventure that will take you on a journey of puzzle-solving and exploring as you investigate the mysterious world and characters of Neo-San Francisco. Inspired by classics like Gabriel Knight and Snatcher, ROM is a retrofuturistic take on the point and click adventure genre that features a rich mature narrative and unique gameplay challenges hidden within the beautiful interactive pixel scenes. The deeper you delve into the life of your missing friend, the further you get entangled into this tale about the dark side of technology.
