In anticipation of the release of Rise of Iron later this year, developer Bungie has revealed it is aiming to accelerate the shooter’s content rollout as it eases into Destiny year three.
Word comes by way of Eurogamer, where Rise of Iron Creative Director Chris Barrett outlined his hopes for the September expansion — exclusive to PS4 and Xbox One — all the while revealing that internal feedback for the DLC has been positive hitherto.
“I hope it is. Ultimately we’ll see how the community reacts. We had a big playtest at the studio last week and the feedback was very positive, everybody liked the new content. Our teams are very passionate – they had a lot of suggestions too.”
It’s the biggest addition to Destiny since the release of The Taken King in September of last year, and Barrett noted that Bungie is building tools “to make content quicker.”
“We’re trying to get better at what we do, build tools to make content quicker and focus on what the best and most impactful experiences are for players. We’re also learning as we go. I think we’re getting better at building Destiny, releasing content quicker.”
Destiny: Rise of Iron is set for release across PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 20.
