Looks like No Man’s Sky wasn’t the only game to be delayed yesterday. According to a press release by Image & Form, SteamWorld Heist, which was headed to the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on May 31, has been delayed by “roughly” a week. The developer is now targeting a release date of June 7 for North America and June 8 for Europe and Australia. In Image & Form’s words, here’s what caused the delay:
The reasons for the delay are related to publishing, localisation and quality assurance. We basically encountered a few scattered problems with the PlayStation versions that we have to fix before releasing the game. If you want more info, feel free to ask me directly. The extra week will hopefully give us enough time to fix these issues.
If it’s any consolation, the developer has promised a “better” version of the game when it finally releases on PlayStation, and suggests we go watch Game of Thrones (or any other show you need to catch up on) instead.
SteamWorld Heist is already out on Nintendo 3DS, and has earned praise from critics and users alike.
