NHL 17 Announced for PS4 & Xbox One, Cover Vote Starts Today

As part of their NHL 17 announcement today, EA Sports confirmed that this year’s entry is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A release window wasn’t given, but NHL games typically launch in September.

Additionally, the NHL 17 Cover Vote opened today, letting you choose from these eight players:

  • Jamie Benn (#NHL17Benn)
  • Joe Pavelski (#NHL17Pavelski)
  • Jakub Voracek (#NHL17Voracek)
  • Aleksander Barkov (#NHL17Barkov)
  • Vladimir Tarasenko (#NHL17Tarasenko)
  • Victor Hedman (#NHL17Hedman)
  • Anze Kopitar (#NHL17Kopitar)
  • Connor McDavid (#NHL17McDavid)

You can cast your vote on the official Cover Vote website, or by tweeting using the above hashtag.

The Cover Vote winner will be revealed at the NHL Awards, where the first NHL 17 gameplay will also be shown off.

EA also released the above NHL 17 Vision Trailer, which they say gives you “an inside look at the development of NHL 17 and how the team is working directly with fans to build the biggest and most exciting hockey game to date. Whether you’re challenging a friend on the couch or building a team to compete at the most elite level, see how NHL 17 gives you the power to shape your hockey legacy no matter how you play the game.”
