On the eve of launch, Capcom has confirmed console versions of the imminent Resident Evil 6 re-release will run at 1080p and 60fps natively.
Word comes by way of NeoGAF, where the company’s Senior Director of Digital Platforms solicited questions from the RE community ahead of launch.
Here, it was all but confirmed that the PS4 and Xbox One version of Resident Evil 6 would be technically on par with their PC counterpart. Said he: “While I haven’t done any scientific comparison, it seems to be on par with PC version running at 1080p/60 on both consoles. It runs great on both consoles.”
Elsewhere, fans who took umbrage with the original’s FOV will be pleased to noted that Capcom has ensured the wider FOV is featured in the horror sequel by default.
Resident Evil 6 will creep onto PS4 and Xbox One tomorrow, March 29.
