Dark Souls 3 Day One Update Goes Live on April 12, Early Versions of the Game Aren’t Complete

With Dark Souls 3 now available in Japan, some people have changed the region on their console to get the game before it officially launches in North America and Europe on April 12. In a statement from Bandai Namco, they warn against buying it early as the game is incomplete.

“We would like to take this opportunity to inform Dark Souls III fans that any gameplay they may experience prior to the official April 12th release date for the game will not be complete,” Bandai Namco said. This is because the international version of the game doesn’t have its multiplayer capabilities activated, and the day one update for the game “that will deliver further optimization” isn’t going live until April 12.

One person already playing Dark Souls 3 is Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida, who tweeted a picture of him using PlayStation VR’s Cinematic Mode with the title:

When will you be getting Dark Souls 3?
