A PlayStation rep confirmed to GameSpot that Dead Star is an April 2016 PS+ free game, saying, “Yes, Dead Star will be added to the April free games lineup for PlayStation Plus members. Stay tuned for our announcement on the full April free games lineup for Plus members later this month.”

Recently removed from the PlayStation Store after being available for pre-order for months, Dead Star appears to be one of the April 2016 PlayStation Plus free games on PlayStation 4.
In a PlayStation Network message posted by Twitter user BLAMdrew, it’s revealed that all Dead Star pre-orders have been refunded as it’s set to be a PS+ title next month:
Thank you for your recent pre-order of Dead Star for PlayStation 4. We’re excited to announce that Dead Star will be a free game for PlayStation Plus members in April. As such, we are refunding the full amount of your pre-order. As an added bonus, the Dead Star theme you received will remain yours. Thanks again for your support, we hope you enjoy Dead Star in April!
Expect Dead Star to be released on Tuesday, April 5, to coincide with the April 2016 PS+ games going live. The remaining titles should be announced in the final week of this month.
