In their worldwide digital sales report for January 2016, SuperData revealed that total sales were up 8% compared to last year, finishing at $6.3 billion. For a breakdown, digital PC was up 33% year-over-year and digital console was up 30% “as players on these platforms shift to purchasing full games digitally.”
After finishing in 5th for all of 2015, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was the #1 digital console game of January 2016. In second place was FIFA 16, with 88% of its revenue from add-on content – more than any other title in the top five.

Looking at the PC category, Rise of the Tomb Raider “sold almost three times as many units on PC than it did on [Xbox] during its first month,” debuting in 4th overall.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is expected to release on PlayStation 4 this holiday season.
