French media company Vivendi has sold off its remaining Activision Blizzard stock (around 5.7 percent) to an unnamed buyer for $1.1 Billion. Announcing the news via a press release on its website, Vivendi said that the remaining 41.5 million shares were sold after taking into consideration “the evolution of Activision Blizzard stock price.”
Once Activision Blizzard’s parent company, Vivendi still maintains an interest in the video games industry. The company purchased Ubisoft and Gameloft stock last year and despite the former’s concerns, it increased its stake in October. However, Activision Blizzard now appears to be separated from the company.
