Announced last year alongside plans for Call of Duty movies and a Skylanders TV show, Activision Blizzard Studios has added Stacey Sher as Co-President.
Most recently, Sher produced The Hateful Eight and worked on Into the Badlands. She’ll be teaming up with Co-President, and former Disney executive, Nick van Dyk.
van Dyk talked about the announcement:

Sher added, “I’m excited about our mandate to create filmed entertainment based on Activision Blizzard games that is as great as the games themselves.”
In the press release, Activision Blizzard Studios said they are “devoted to creating television and films based on the company’s library of iconic and globally-recognized intellectual properties, including Activision Publishing’s Call of Duty and Skylanders, and Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo and StarCraft.”
The Call of Duty cinematic universe is expected to kick off in 2018 or 2019.
