Announced just before E3 2015, Fallout 4 was the highest-trending console game on Google this year.
In their report of the biggest trending video games of 2015, Google has the browser game Agar.io in #1 overall, followed by Fallout 4 in 2nd, and Mortal Kombat X in 3rd. Neither of the top console games should be surprising, with Fallout 4 moving 12 million copies at launch, and MKX was the #1 selling game of 2015 in the United States prior to the holiday season.

As for the top 10 Entertainment-based topics of 2015 in the United States, Agar.io was #7 (ahead of Chris Kyle), while Fallout 4 was #9 (ahead of Straight Outta Compton).
On a global basis of all trending topics, Agar.io was #3, with Fallout in 7th. No gaming consoles appeared in the Consumer Tech trending topics of 2015, with the iPhone 6s winning that category.
Looking back at 2014, the top trending game worldwide was Flappy Bird, followed by 2048, FIFA 15, Destiny, and Titanfall.
