Several research companies have started sharing sales data for Black Friday, and unsurprisingly, video game consoles are among the best-selling and highest-earning products in their respective departments.
According to online shopping data released by Adobe, Black Friday spending was up at least 14% compared to last year in the US, and the five best-selling electronic products included Samsung 4K TVs, Apple iPad Air 2, iPad Mini, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Interestingly, one of the five items that were most likely to run out of stock was the PS4 version of NBA 2K16.
Data firm InfoScout also shared its findings separately, revealing that the PS4 500GB Uncharted bundle was Best Buy’s highest-earning product. However, by unit sales, Amazon Fire came out on top for the retailer.
We’re probably going to be seeing a lot more of these updates as the weekend ends. Target was the quickest one to release its data for Black Friday, revealing that Nintendo’s Wii U was the top-selling item on its website.
