When Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection launched last month on PlayStation 4, it was missing the PlayStation Vita game Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Naughty Dog Community Strategist Arne Meyer addressed the omission back in September, saying it was under consideration, but they ultimately decided against it because it fits outside the narrative arc that leads into Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
With other Vita titles like Tearaway and Gravity Rush getting full PS4 ports though, Finder asked Meyer what the odds were of a remake on PS4. According to him, there’s a chance it could happen, but Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida will be the one who makes it a reality:
I think that’s not completely out of the question. I mean it’s not entirely up to us, obviously. I think I was asked this at Eurogamer Expo and Shuhei Yoshida was sitting in the front row and I pitched it off on him and I was like, ‘You have to go talk to Shu about this,’ which is what the case is.
But it’s definitely not out of the question. I mean anything is possible. I know there hasn’t been talk about that recently, but there’s no reason why it can’t happen either.
Do you want Golden Abyss on PS4?
