The third biggest launch of 2015 so far, Fallout 4 sold more than 500,000 copies at UK retailers in its first week on the market, generating more than £24m in revenue, according to GfK Chart-Track.
GfK adds that Fallout 4 is now the 18th fastest-selling UK retail game in terms of units (behind Call of Duty: Black Ops 3), and the 16th fastest-selling UK retail game in terms of revenue (behind FIFA 11).
Overall, UK games numbers at retail last week reached £54.6 million, making it the biggest seven days of sales so far in 2015. This is thanks to Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and the second week of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. With the latest boost, year-on-year sales are down just 0.5%.
Bethesda hasn’t reported official sell-through numbers for Fallout 4, though 12 million copies were shipped to retailers for launch, generating more than $750 million. SuperData, meanwhile, estimated that 1.87 million copies were sold digitally in the first three days.
