Fallout 4 Update Makes Last Minute Changes & Optimizations, Bethesda Gives out A “Note From Your Doctor”

fallout4_01

With the launch of Fallout 4 just hours away (our review), those who pre-ordered the game digitally are able to pre-load it on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. While the PS4 pre-load went live in North America yesterday, things were delayed in Europe, but Bethesda and PlayStation confirmed it went up earlier today:

Judging from reports, you’ll need to download an initial 4.45GB that will allow you to access the game while the remaining 27GB or so (depending on your region) downloads in the background.

You’ll also have to download a 500MB day one update for Fallout 4. Bethesda hasn’t revealed what exactly patch 1.01 does, but the PS4’s Update History says, “Some last changes and optimizations for launch day.”

If you need to take time off work or school to play Fallout 4, Bethesda’s Pete Hines has you covered:

Will you be “calling in sick” tomorrow?
