The road to The Taken King is bringing us ever closer to year two of Destiny, and whether you like Destiny or not, if you’ve played it before or are just joining the party, you can be certain that our coverage on this massive expansion is going to be picking up leading into its release. The full expansion is set to come out next week, and we’ll talk about that more then. For now, we’re looking at what’s coming in The Taken King Crucible.
Bungie is offering the The Taken King’s new Crucible modes and maps to all Destiny players to preview this week, but we were able to go hands on earlier this month to bring you our impressions of what’s coming next. Below you’ll find videos of the new game mode Rift, three new maps, and a final video showing the new mercy rule in action. Yes, I was on the losing team for that one. I’ll sit here with the excuse that it was to showcase the mercy rule.
Destiny: The Taken King Crucible – Rift Gameplay on Memento (Mercy Rule Loss)
Destiny: The Taken King Crucible – Rift Gameplay on Thieves’ Den (House of Wolves Map)
Destiny: The Taken King Crucible – Rift Gameplay on Vertigo
Destiny: The Taken King Crucible – Rift Gameplay on The Dungeon
Stay tuned all this week as we continue to bring you great coverage of Destiny: The Taken King.
Disclosure: Crucible preview was done at a preview event for Destiny: The Taken King at Bungie’s studios, provided by Activision and Bungie.
