Ubisoft Developing Next-Generation Theme Park in Malaysia, Set to Open in 2020

Set to open in 2020 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ubisoft announced today that they’re developing a 10,000-square-meter next-generation indoor theme park featuring rides, shows, and more, all built around Ubisoft’s games and characters.

Ubisoft Motion Pictures is leading the project, with Senior Vice President Jean de Rivières saying, “Ubisoft’s intention for this park is to immerse people in reactive worlds where they can interact with each other and become the heroes of their own life-sized game.”

So far, we know Ubisoft create attractions inspired by Assassin’s Creed, Just Dance, and Rabbids. Past that, few details are known, but “Ubisoft will produce all digital media for the rides, and help design guests’ journey into the park to ensure the visitors’ experience is at its best.”

According to a 2014 report by the World Tourism Organization, Malaysia is the second-most-visited country in Asia.
