Featuring every piece of content created for the PC version, Deep Silver and developer 11 Bit Studios have announced that This War of Mine: The Little Ones is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 29, 2016 in North America and Europe for $29.99 through digital stores.
Here’s what 11 Bit Studios says about The Little Ones’ new missions, new campaigns, and new characters:
New content coming to consoles in This War of Mine: The Little Ones explores the hardships of wartime survival as seen from an entirely new perspective - that of a child. Based on This War of Mine, The Little Ones focuses on the reality of enduring war and the idea that even in war, kids are still kids – they laugh, cry, play with toys and see the world differently. In addition to thinking about survival, you’ll have to bring back the kid in yourself to understand how to protect the little ones. How far will you go to make it through another day?
Protect and take care of The Little Ones as they continue to live in the war torn landscape as only children can. Teach, educate and form emotional bonds as you fight to survive in this harsh world and prevail through this unique narrative.
Exclusive to the PS4 version is an extra shelter. Senior Writer Paweł Miechowski talked about the importance of shelters:
The daytime phase of the game takes place in your shelter and this is where you’ll be caring for survivors and making the tough decisions — so factors like how the building is shaped, how many floors it has, how well it’s fortified and prepared as a potential hideout all have a huge influence over the gameplay itself.
You’ll be able to go hands-on with This War of Mine: The Little Ones at PAX Prime in Deep Silver’s booth (#1614).
