Torchlight Developer Announces “Hob” for Consoles and PC, Reveals Trailer and Screenshots

Runic Games, the developer of the Diablo-esque PC RPG Torchlight, has just announced that it is working on Hob, an upcoming title for consoles and PC.

Besides releasing a short announcement trailer, which can be seen above, Runic also gave a brief description of the game on its website, saying that it will be an “adventure game” that will have players exploring mysteries and “unfamiliar surroundings.”

Hob is a vibrant, suspenseful adventure game. As players delve into the mysteries around them, they discover a planet in peril. Can it be mended, or will the world fall further into chaos?

Hob is presented without text or dialogue. Narrative is revealed as players explore and interact with their unfamiliar surroundings and the strange life forms that inhabit it. The third title from developer Runic Games, Hob is being developed for PC and console, featuring smooth controller gameplay, multi-layered puzzles, and striking visuals.

A few screenshots and images of concept art were also released, and those can be seen below:

It doesn’t look like the consoles that Hob will be coming to are listed, but it does appear that more information will be released during PAX Prime in several days.
