Rock Band 4 Soundtrack Adds Panama, More Van Halen Songs Coming After Launch

Marking the first time Van Halen has appeared in the series, Harmonix and Mad Catz announced today that Panama will be included inside the Rock Band 4 soundtrack. Additionally, more Van Halen songs will be made available post-launch through the Rock Band Music Store.

Harmonix CEO Steve Janiak said:

For years we’ve wanted to bring Van Halen’s music to Rock Band. Not only are the songs incredible in their own right, but they’re amazingly fun to play and perform, whether you’re on guitar, bass, drums, or vocals.

To ensure you get the right bundle at launch, Harmonix says to pre-order Rock Band 4 at retail, which comes with 30 extra songs. If you just want the game, PlayStation Plus members can pre-order Rock Band 4 through the PlayStation Store to receive 10 extra songs.

Rock Band 4 will include more than 60 songs on-disc (see the current list here), and will be compatible with more than 1,500 songs on the Rock Band Music Store.

Elsewhere, as Harmonix revealed on Twitter, they’re still in talks with ION about support.

Rock Band 4 releases worldwide on October 6 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
