Original Story:
Offering up some new information on their two Rainbow games, Eastasiasoft and SideQuest Studios confirmed that Rainbow Moon is coming to PlayStation 4 “sometime” in 2016, with Rainbow Skies set for release in the second half of 2016 on PS4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
For Rainbow Moon on PS4, SideQuest CEO Marcus Pukropski said it will “most likely” include cross-buy with the PS3 and PS Vita versions. As for cross-save support, he said, “Yes, you can switch onto PS4 with your Rainbow Moon save data. This will work in all combinations with PS Vita, PS3 and PS4.”
As for Rainbow Skies, it will also support cross-save, though cross-buy is “not decided yet, but most likely.”
Featuring “far less DLC” than Moon, here’s the description for Skies:
From the makers of Rainbow Moon comes Rainbow Skies, a new fantasy role-playing game. Players immerse themselves in a colorful and vibrant world, filled with deadly creatures, murky dungeons, turn-based battles, bustling towns, shops, and much more than you would expect to find in a typical RPG.
Tamable monsters, upgradable characters, and a variety of weapons and equipment offer a wide range of customization and character development possibilities. A huge variety of optional and endgame content, side and treasure hunt quests, a new main story, and other exciting content will keep RPG fans entertained for over a hundred hours.
Note: The above trailer is from October 2014.
