Some “dramatic changes” to the combat system will be made in the Final Fantasy VII Remake, Director Tetsuya Nomura recently revealed.
Speaking with Official PlayStation Magazine UK, Nomura mentioned the changes, but said not to worry too much about them because the game will still be still be “recognisable.”
We are bringing dramatic changes to the Final Fantasy VII Remake so we’re hoping that you’ll look forward to additional information that we’ll be able to release when the time comes. And of course, that being said we want to clarify: we’re not going to be changing it into a shooter or something like that. We are going to be bringing dramatic changes, but we want to make sure it’s still recognisable.
In other Final Fantasy VII news, a recent PlayStation advertisement featured in EDGE listed that the remake is due out sometime in 2016. The magazine also noted that Media Molecule’s Dreams, and Persona 5 are set for a 2016 release, too.
