With rising game development cost and lay offs becoming the norm in the industry, it’s nice to hear that it’s not just lumbering AAA publishers that can turn a profit on a game.
Such is the case with The Astronauts’ The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. While the game was initially released on PCs, it seems the PlayStation 4 has been a rather good home for the title. Over on Twitter, the studio announced that it took them 10 months to develop the game on the PS4, but they’ve already recouped the cost in the first week — twice!
It took us 10 months to make The Vanishing of Ethan Carter #PS4/#UE4. Recouped the cost in the first week. Twice Thank you, players!
