Anyone that has stuck around PlayStation LifeStyle for awhile should know by now that I have a healthy obsession with the Suikoden series. Well, not so healthy if you ask my wife but let’s not get into that right now. Recently, Sony added my favorite game of the series and my favorite RPG of all time to the PlayStation Network. There are just so many reasons to like Suikoden III and so many ways I could try to convince you to play it, such as stalking you at your house, but instead I will just provide you a list of eight reasons you need to play this all-time classic.
I know some of these may come across as silly but in all honesty, this is an RPG that anyone who calls themselves a fan of the genre has to play. The great thing is, even if you have played and beaten Suikoden III before, you can still play it again because of the ability to select your own Flame Champion of the three main characters. Heck, I have beaten the game 10 times and I plan to replay and beat it again soon.
What do you think about Suikoden III? Will you be buying it on the store?

Hey Look, A Female Lead!
One of your main characters you get to use in the game is a female knight named Chris Lightfellow. This lady is a complete badass and doesn't need a man to fight her battles! She also commands a pretty tough group of knights, so look out.

Just a Few Characters to Recruit
So it doesn't show it in the image but the game has 108 characters to recruit and then it has so many more than that to interact with. It's really ridiculous just how many characters they wrote into the game. Might actually explain why we have yet to see Suikoden VI.. Games today just don't have this many characters.

One Story, Three Points of View
How many other games do you know that let you see one story from three different points of view? It's such a great feature and really gives the story so much more depth. I honestly don't know why everybody else doesn't do this. Oh, and did I mention there are also 3 side stories included??

A Duck and a Griffon?
Come on... Hugo's two best friends are a duck named Sgt. Joe and a Griffon named Fubar that can understand what you are saying. You can't get any cooler than that!

The Combat System is Fun
Sure, a lot of people will sit there and tell you how much better it is in Suikoden 1 or 2, but me personally, i loved the combat in 3. It grouped your 6 people into pairs. This forced players into a bit more strategy with their group selection.

Luc + Yuber = Epic Duo
Hands down my favorite bad guys of all time. Luc sported this awesome mask early on while Yuber was just an evil SOB that wanted to hurt everything. It also helps that they are joined by Sarah and Albert Silverberg, creating a really well oiled evil machine.

Army Battles
I wanted a flashy headline for this one but stuck with a more simplistic one. Army battles are probably one of the best parts about Suikoden III.

That Opening Movie..
Ok, so an opening movie isn't really reason enough to buy and play a game, but I had to add it in here.. It's that good.
