Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition Sold Out in No Time, Bethesda Investigating Multiple Purchases

It was only last Sunday that the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition was announced during Bethesda’s E3 2015 press conference. But it has already sold out at most retailers, it seems. The shortage has prompted heated discussions around the web, with some people visibly upset that they couldn’t even get around to placing an order. Bethesda has had to address the issue, stating that the company will also be investigating cases of people buying multiple Pip-Boy Editions to sell at eBay later on.

Bethesda’s Pete Hines said on Twitter:

1) We are trying to get some more Pip-Boy Editions to retail

2) I don’t know which stores in which territories will have more

3) I am aware of folks grabbing multiple copies to turn around and sell on eBay. I have asked Bethesda store to review and address

4) I have talked to our Sales folks to make them aware and asked them to discuss with retailers as well

So, I’m aware and trying to help.

While this doesn’t mean that demand for the Pip-Boy Edition will be met, it’s some consolation, right?

Fallout 4 will hit the PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 10.
