Octodad: Dadliest Catch Walks Normally to PS Vita Next Week, Includes Local Co-Op

With porting duties helped along by Sickhead Games, creator Young Horses announced today that Octodad: Dadliest Catch is coming to PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV on May 26 in North America and Europe for $14.99. As well, it supports cross-buy, meaning owners of the PlayStation 4 version get free access on Vita.

In terms of new features on PS Vita, there will be a new set of Trophies, as the game doesn’t support cross-save. Unfortunately, there won’t be a Platinum to grab, “but there are some silver and one gold.”

You’ll also find two player local co-op on Vita and PS TV, as Young Horses explained:

With Sickhead Games’ help, we managed to stuff in enough control for two players (one on each side) to wobble your favorite dad through everyday life while rubbing shoulders with a real life friend.

Front and rear touch control is also included on PS Vita for local co-op.

For the future of Young Horses, President and Co-Founder Phil Tibitoski said, “We’re working on a new game right now, but it’s still in early development so we’re not ready to talk about it yet.”
