Even though Rockstar Games has said that story-based DLC was planned for Grand Theft Auto V on a number of occasions, Take-Two Interactive’s CEO Strauss Zelnick doesn’t seem to recall any mention of such things.
During a recent earning’s call, Zelnick was asked about any upcoming story-based DLC for GTA V, and he replied saying that “we haven’t discussed any story-based downloadable content.”
No, we haven’t discussed any story-based downloadable content. We did talk about the Heists and they’ve been released.
It is uncertain why Zelnick would respond in such a way, considering that way back in 2013, Rockstar said that it was planning on creating DLC for GTA V‘s single-player mode. It continued saying that for a few months into 2014, and back in November, the actor that voices Franklin mentioned that some story-based DLC is being worked on.
The fact that Zelnick is denying any mention of the story-based DLC is a bit disheartening, and seems to confirm that GTA V will not be getting any such DLC. Do you think Zelnick is trolling everyone, or is there really is no GTA V story-based DLC planned?
