Watch Dogs 2 is Already in Development, According to Developer LinkedIn Page

According to the now edited LinkedIn profile of Ubisoft Senior Gameplay Programmer Julien Risse, Watch Dogs 2 is in development at Ubisoft right now.

Listing his previous work on Watch Dogs and the Bad Blood DLC, Risse added Watch Dogs 2, but didn’t give a timetable of when development started on the game, as this screengrab from Videogamer reveals:

To go along with the removal of Watch Dogs 2 from the profile, Ubisoft declined to comment when Videogamer reached out to them.

Earlier this year, Creative Director Jonathan Morin talked about the original Watch Dogs, which has shipped over nine million copies worldwide. “I don’t think Watch Dogs is perfect in any way and there’s a lot of room for improvement,” he said. “But you don’t always see this when you ship a game. We deliver what we believe the brand should be at the time.”

For a potential sequel, Morin said, “There is more pressure to push a brand forward and we now have to appeal to fans in a new way” and “you have to carry on taking risks.”

Do you think we’ll hear about the next Watch Dogs at E3 2015?
