Developed by Milkstone Studios, Ziggurat is launching for the PlayStation 4 on April 21 in North America and April 22 in Europe. A price wasn’t announced, but the game does cost $14.99 on Steam.
A “fast-paced FPS dungeon crawler,” Ziggurat sends you into a labyrinth to face dangerous challenges as you prove your worth to become a powerful wizard.
Focusing on fast-paced first person shooting, with an old-school vibe, and updated handling and game mechanics, dungeon crawling and RPG/roguelike elements are thrown in. Unlike most rogue-likes though, your combat skills are your most important asset to advancing, with leveling up and randomly generated content there to improve variety.
To keep the game quick and direct, you won’t have an inventory to manage or the need to compare items. Instead, weapon selection and mana/health are what’s most important.
You’ll also find dozen of enemies, over 30 weapons, more than 100 perks, 10+ unlockable characters, and additional game modes.
