While it was announced at E3 2014 that Xbox platforms would get “premiere content” for Dragon Age Inquisition first, many people are upset at BioWare’s lack of information regarding a release date for Jaws of Hakkon on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
After the content was announced this week, Dragon Age Producer Mark Darrah said, “We can not discuss when Jaws of Hakkon will be coming on other platforms,” while the official website only says the PS4, PS3, and Xbox 360 versions of the DLC are “coming soon.”
Responding to questions on Twitter, Darrah added that “I can not give a timeline” for the PS4 release of Jaws of Hakkon. When someone brought up that the contract between EA and Microsoft must stipulate they aren’t allowed to discuss how long it’s exclusive, Darrah said, “You are correct. We are looking into options.”
All Darrah could really say about Jaws of Hakkon on other platforms is that “it will come. Hopefully you can be patient.”
The good news is that this type of timed DLC exclusivity “will not” continue.
In other Dragon Age Inquisition DLC news, Darrah says there’s no plans for a Season Pass because “we don’t have fixed enough [sic] plans for that this time.”
How long will you be willing to wait for Jaws of Hakkon?
