Homefront: The Revolution Release Date Delayed to 2016, Development “Continues at Full Speed”

A month after learning it wouldn’t turn into vaporware, Deep Silver announced today that Homefront: The Revolution has been pushed from 2015 and will now arrive in 2016 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Deep Silver also officially introduced the studio behind Homefront: The Revolution, Deep Silver Dambuster Studios. Led by Hasit Zala, Game Director on Homefront: The Revolution, and founded in July 2014, there are currently 126 staff members, with most of them previously having worked at Crytek UK (formerly Free Radical).

After the press release pointed out how Homefront: The Revolution development “continues at full speed,” Zala said:

“We are excited that Deep Silver’’s acquisition of the Homefront IP and assets from Crytek has allowed development of Homefront: The Revolution to continue with minimum disruption. The team here believes we are working on something truly special.”

Deep Silver CEO Klemens Kundratitz added:

Dambuster Studios are an extraordinarily talented group. We are giving the team every opportunity to turn Homefront: The Revolution into a best-selling title, and have set a 2016 release date to provide them the time they need to achieve this. You can expect to hear more about the game later this year.”
