With no new releases to speak of, 2015 began as 2014 ended, with Yokai Watch 2: Shinuchi in first place, moving another 208,000 units. As well, Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire and Super Smash Bros for 3DS ended up in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
For hardware, it was a good week for PlayStation platforms, with the PS Vita rising by over 14,000 units to 56,700, and the PS4 jumping up by 11,000 units to 42,200. However, nothing could beat the New 3DS XL, which sold 76,400 units.
