PlayStation LifeStyle PlayList: December 27 & 28, 2014 – PSN Down Edition

The PSN may still be down after the attacks over the holidays, but that’s not going to stop the PSLS staff from gaming. Despite the lack of connectivity, we still find something to occupy our time for the last weekend of the year.

Here’s what everyone is playing this weekend:

Chandler Wood (@FinchStrife)

I’ll be refreshing Twitter, waiting to see when PSN finally comes back up. Besides that, I am going back to my backlog to play games like Rogue Legacy (finally beat Neo Khidr!), PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate (two more levels to Platinum!), or maybe even start on some other games I have sitting here unopened. Perhaps I’ll actually get up and go eat some food now too…

D’yani Wood (@Dyani)

Without the PSN, it looks like I will be going back to Far Cry 4 for a bit. I might find some time to start either Alien Isolation, Evil Within, or another game we have lying around but have hardly played.

Dan Oravasaari (@FoolsJoker)

I will be playing failed to log in, and working on my backlog.

Heath Hindman (@TheHeathHindman)

Yakuza 5: Adventures in Heavy-Handed Storytelling, for PS3 and returning for a little more Persona 4 on Vita.

Louis Edwards (@ftwrthtx)

I really want to play some more Destiny and try and get Xur’s latest weapon, but at this rate I may have to wait until next week. I will be playing some Madden on Sunday, with or without the PSN, so at least I have some offline games.

Mack Ashworth (@GamingWithMack)

I’ll probably just end up reading the rest of I am Pilgrim, unless Sony fixes their shit.

Mark Labbe (@MarkyMark255)

I’ll be playing Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN– and Suikoden 2 this weekend in between going to family holiday parties.

Paulmichael Contreras (@T3mpr1x)

I got my wife an NVIDIA Shield Tablet with the controller, so we’ll likely take a look at the games it has on offer. For starters, she never played any Half-Life games, so the included Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 should take up a good portion of the weekend! Thankfully none of that requires the PSN… I also finally did get a replacement Vita system, and the PSN appears to be up there, so I’ll check out Borderlands 2 on the go.

Ryan (@decimalator)

Since everything I had planned on playing requires PSN, I am going to have to find something else. I can’t even do some more work on my game,  because building and deploying to my Vita requires… a PSN login. Send me suggestions, I am lost without the Internets.

Zarmena Khan (@Zarmena)

Not quite sure. I am contemplating restarting Far Cry 4 just for the story, or finishing Uncharted 3. I’ve had the game for years but never got around to finishing it. So before my PlayStation 3 really conks out, I should get to it.

Did the PSN downtime change your gaming plans this weekend? Let us know what you’ll be playing.
