Assassin’s Creed Unity Gameplay Video Compares Patch 4 to Patch 3 on the PS4

A new gameplay video released by Digital Foundry syncs up Assassin’s Creed Unity gameplay, showing the differences between patch 4 and patch 3 on the PlayStation 4.

Unfortunately, despite the fourth patch weighing in at a massive 6.5GB, frame-rates are still far from perfect. The fps drops into the low twenties or even the high teens at times, especially when the player enters crowded areas. Some scenes only feature a 2 to 5fps increase, which hardly makes a difference to the casual observer.

On the flip side, the patch does seem to make the movement smoother, and there seems to be less jarring moments. Whether or not that makes up for the only tiny improvement in the game’s frame-rate is up to you to decide. What do you think of the newest patch? Did you notice a different in your game or no?
