Remember the digital surprise hit, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon? Well, if you’re expecting a sequel to coincide with Far Cry 4, then you’re going to be very disappointed.
Speaking to IGN, Ubisoft Montreal Creative Director Alex Hutchinson confirmed this little bit of news, though he did mention that they might “surprise” people with something else.
That’s was what was cool about [Blood Dragon], it was surprising. It was a great use of the Far Cry 3 base, and had an awesome soundtrack. But no, you won’t get another one of those. But hopefully we’ll be able to surprise you with something just as much.
There you have it, folks. But given Hutchinson’s statement, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a spin-off game that’s just as weird and funky as Blood Dragon.
