Like it or not, the most popular video streaming platform in the world today is YouTube. While the PlayStation 4 was able to stream gameplay out of the box, it didn’t have a proper YouTube app until now.
Yep, you read that right. The YouTube PS4 app is now available for you to download. All you montage makers and those who just want to share their gameplay can hit the “Share” button on the DualShock 4 and upload your game footage to YouTube.
In addition to sharing gameplay clips, PS4 gamers can also find and watch videos uploaded by their PSN friends in the “What’s New” section. The YouTube PS4 app will also let users watch videos in 1080p, and listen in 5.1 channel audio.
Of course, given how the PSN crashed when firmware update 2.00 rolled out, I wouldn’t be surprised if the YouTube app has some issues.
Have you tried the YouTube PS4 app? Is it working as advertised or is it a chore to use?
