After a rocky launch for NBA Live 14 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last year, the series is back this year with NBA Live 15, which releases on October 28 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
Even without knowing how NBA Live 15 will perform, Executive Producer Sean O’Brien confirmed to Polygon that NBA Live 16 is “guaranteed,” with NBA Live 17 already getting prepped:
We’ve already started development on 16. We’re staffing up. We’re actually increasing investment on what 16 — and 17 — look like.
O’Brien also said NBA Live 15 would be better than NBA Live 14, and NBA Live 16 would be better than NBA Live 15.
Elsewhere in the interview, O’Brien addressed the three-week delay, saying it gives them a chance to put in improvements they would have added through a day one patch. There will still be a day one patch to polish other areas of the game though.
Will you be getting NBA Live 15? Or are you already playing NBA 2K15?
