Finnish game developer Frozenbyte has announced that its Trine series has sold over seven million copies worldwide. A press release by the company also states:
The Trine series has been released on a total of eight platforms: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, the Wii U system from Nintendo, Windows, Mac, Linux and Android. This vast selection has been made possible by Frozenbyte’s flexible inhouse engine and development tools.
Earlier this year, Trine Enchanted Edition was announced for the PS4 and Wii U. Frozenbyte CEO Lauri Hyvärinen said that the company had “heard a lot of requests for Trine from console owners,” and that it was happy to announce the Enchanted Edition for the PS4 and Wii U.
