Double Damage Games, the makers of the Diablo-esq Torchlight titles, are currently working on Rebel Galaxy, a sandbox sci-fi game where players get to control massive, weaponized spaceships.
Set to come out for the PlayStation 4 and PC, Rebel Galaxy lets players to choose their own paths, allowing users to become mercenaries, traders, pirates, and more.
As players earn money through different channels, they can then purchase ships and weapons, and can even hire AI units to man different parts of the ship. These AI units can be helpful in combat, and will be able to target different enemy ships and prioritize which ones should be destroyed first.
Double Damage CEO and developer Travis Baldree noted that while the game does not yet have an official release date, it will be out sometime in 2015. Will you be picking up a copy of Rebel Galaxy when it finally comes out?
