Missing its planned July 2014 launch because developer MixedBag “needed some extra time to fully polish the game and add all the stuff we wanted to deliver the final Futuridium experience,” it’s been confirmed that Futuridium EP Deluxe will release on September 30 in North America and October 1 in Europe.
A PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita title, Futuridium EP Deluxe includes cross-buy and is going to cost $12.49/€9.99, with a 20% PlayStation Plus launch discount bringing it down to $9.99/€7.99. The game also supports shared leaderboards on PS4 and PS Vita, with PlayStation TV support available when the device launches.
After revealing that there’s no platinum, MixedBag Co-Founder Mauro Fanelli explained how the Vita version compares to the PS4 version:
Game is 100% the same. We had to cut some graphic effects, but it’s full resolution and runs really well (60fps with some drops).
Here’s the description for Futuridium EP Deluxe:
Futuridium EP Deluxe offers a huge new campaign featuring 50 levels, five bosses, crazy bonus levels, new gameplay mechanics, well-hidden super secret stuff and a slew of unlockable extra modes. And while the continue unlock system will help you reach the end of the game, good luck snagging all of Futuridium’s 150 medals and its trophies, and competing to reach the top of the leaderboards. Yes, it’s crazy difficult.
