Rocksmith 2014 Edition PS4, Xbox One Release Date & Details Confirmed

The ESRB ruining the surprise last month, Ubisoft officially confirmed today that Rocksmith 2014 Edition will release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 4 in North America and November 6 in Europe.

With these new versions of Rocksmith 2014, the game will appear in full 1080p for greater clarity and visual quality, while also taking advantage of the streaming and captures features of the PS4 and Xbox One.

As for just the PS4 version of Rocksmith 2014, that will support Remote Play with the PlayStation Vita:

Whether you’re practicing in another room (away from your console/TV) or trying to study a specific section of a particular tune, Remote Play via the PlayStation Vita lets you view songs at a locked mastery level – no scoring or input required. This is also a great way to review a full song without having to worry about your performance.

Just like the other versions of Rocksmith 2014, the game on PS4 and Xbox One includes 55 songs (see them here), with 10 additional bonus songs unlockable as you progress and achieve goals. Ubisoft made sure to say, “For the move to PS4 and Xbox One, no songs have been added to or deleted from the core game.”

If you purchased DLC for Rocksmith 2014 previously, you can import it within the same console family:

You will be able to import any DLC you have purchased within the same console family for no additional charge. That is, any DLC you have purchased on Xbox 360 will be downloadable on Xbox One, and any PlayStation 3 DLC will be downloadable on PlayStation 4. If you own a lot of DLC, this may be time consuming, but you only have to do it once.

As well, if you bought the Import Pack to bring most of the songs from the original Rocksmith into Rocksmith 2014, “You’ll be able to re-download them as if they were any other DLC in your collection.”

Rocksmith 2014 Edition on PS4 and Xbox One will be available in a bundle for $79.99 with the Real Tone Cable that is required to play Rocksmith 2014. If you already have a Real Tone Cable (it’s universal across all platforms), there will be a digital version of Rocksmith 2014 available for $59.99.
