MotoGP developer Milestone has announced that its new motorbike racer RIDE will be racing its way to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC in Spring 2015. The game will feature a “huge variety” of city, country and historic circuits, and over 100 bikes.
Players will have four categories of bikes to choose from: Superbikes, Supersports, Naked and Historical. Milestone said that RIDE will allow “unprecedented levels” of vehicle and rider customization for a “fresh and exhilarating” experience. The developer also claims that the game will “alter the concept of motorcycle videogames forever.” Milestone’s Marco Micallef said:
It is with great pleasure that we are able to publically announce our first proprietary IP: RIDE. Milestone has worked hard over the last few years to get to the position we are in today, where we can compete with the major companies in the international gaming scene on an equal footing. This was made possible with the help of the licensed games we develop and distribute worldwide.
Micallef also said that he is confident that RIDE will appeal to motorcycle enthusiasts world over. We’ll have to wait to find out more about the game. In the meantime, check out a brief teaser trailer below:
