GameStop to Sell or Close All Stores in Spain by 2015

According to a recent press release, GameStop is planning to either sell or close all of its stores in Spain in an effort to focus its efforts on more profitable areas.

The UK retailer GAME will be buying up a number of the Spanish GameStop locations, although the exact number that the retailer will be acquiring has not yet been confirmed. Meanwhile, the places not bought by GAME will be closed before the end of the year.

By closing down all stores in Spain, GameStop will be able to focus their thoughts elsewhere, such as stores in the US. Whether or not this will make a noticeable difference in the way stores are run or the prices that are given for trade-ins remains to be seen.

What do you think about GameStop leaving Spain? Will you be sad to see them go?
