Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris to Run at 30fps and 1080p

If you loved Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light back when it was released in 2010, then you’re no doubt anticipating its follow up, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris.

While some details regarding the isometric action adventure game has already been revealed, we now know that it will run at 30fps (frames-per-second), and at 1080p resolution. This was confirmed by Crystal Dynamics Executive Producer Scot Amos who “guarantees” that the mentioned frame rate and resolution will be the minimum bar the studio is shooting for, but they will go past it if they can.

It’s one of the things we always look at. Launching with 30 frames and 1080p is our guarantee, that’s a way of saying, that’s the minimum bar we’re always going to shoot for, and then we always go past that wherever we can.

It might just be me, but as long as a game’s fun, I honestly don’t mind the frame rate or resolution that much. And if Temple of Osiris follows its predecessor when it comes to gameplay, then fans should have no worries when it comes to the more important stuff (gameplay and it being fun).

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is set for release this December 9 for the Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4, and you can check out its Season Pass and limited edition here.
