inFAMOUS First Light Trophy Guide

infamousfirstlight3

Welcome to PlayStation LifeStyle’s Trophy Guide for inFAMOUS First Light! There are 25 trophies to earn in this piece of standalone downloadable content including a nice surprise — a Platinum! Everything is pretty straight forward here, with nothing too difficult. There is free roam after you’ve completed the game just in case you still need to earn some trophies. Also, the difficulty does not matter, you can play on any of the three difficulties and still earn trophies. There are no difficulty-related trophies as well.

Spoiler Alert:  There are spoilers within the guide. If you are avoiding spoilers, it’s recommended that you complete the game before reading any further.

The Lumens are basically just Blast Shards from Second Son. They are scattered through out the city and need to be collected. They are all marked on your map as purple star like icons. Just about all of them will be floating up high requiring you to run and jump off of buildings and objects on the roofs of the buildings. Some of them will require upgrades to be reached.

Blackout – Bronze

– Destroy all Police Drones.

As you progress through the story, Jennifer will introduce you to the Police Drones. There will be one drone in each district and they will all be marked on your map by a camera icon.

Lickety Pronto – Silver

– Complete all Lumen Races.

Lumen Races are marked on your map and in the world as two flags. You’ll have to chase a fleeing Lumen and catch it. Once you catch up to the Lumen, run into it to collect it. Hold Circle and run through the pink Neon Clouds to gain a boost of speed to get closer to the Lumen. If you fail, the mission will immediately respawn and you can try again.

That’s So Fetch – Bronze

– Complete all Neon Graffiti.

These are very similar to the Graffiti missions from Second Son. They are marked on the map as spray paint cans. You’ll need to point the controller and hold L2 to shoot Neon at the marked areas.

Graffiti

Unleashed – Gold

– Purchase every Upgrade.

Upgrade points are earned by completing missions, completing challenges and finding collectibles. You’ll have to complete every challenge (you have to anyway for the Platinum) to earn enough points to unlock all of the upgrades. Additional upgrades will be added once you complete the story.

Novice – Bronze

– Complete 25% of all Challenges.

See the trophy “Perfectionist” for more details.

Professional – Silver

– Complete 50% of all Challenges.

See the trophy “Perfectionist” for more details.

Expert – Gold

– Complete 75% of all Challenges.

See the trophy “Perfectionist” for more details.

Perfectionist – Gold

– Complete all of the Challenges in the Game.

There are quite a few challenges to be completed, but they are not that difficult. Fortunately, there will be plenty of enemies after you complete the main story, so no challenge can be missed. Some of the more general challenges can be completed in both Free Roam and the Battle Arenas. There are however some that are specific to each game mode. You can keep track of your challenges under the “Challenges” tab of the “Options” menu.

Alpha Rescue Diamond – Silver

– Achieve a score of 500,000 points.

See the trophy “Gamma Survival Diamond” for more details.

Alpha Survival Diamond – Silver

– Achieve a score of 500,000 points.

See the trophy “Gamma Survival Diamond” for more details.

Beta Rescue Diamond – Silver

– Achieve a score of 500,000 points.

See the trophy “Gamma Survival Diamond” for more details.

Beta Survival Diamond – Silver

– Achieve a score of 500,000 points.

See the trophy “Gamma Survival Diamond” for more details.

Gamma Survival Diamond – Silver

– Achieve a score of 500,000 points.

The Survival and Rescue Arenas work the same way with only one major difference. In Survival your focus is on surviving as long as you can. In Rescue your focus is on surviving and saving Hostages. You will need to fight waves of enemies while saving Hostages. The game will alert you when a Hostage spawns and pressing in L3 will show you their location. When a Hostage spawns, you need to quickly defeat the enemies that spawn with them. Once you get near the Hostage area, the enemies around them will start to attack the Hostage. After the enemies have been eliminated, run into the Hostage to save them. If five Hostages die, the arena ends.

Earning the points is not that difficult, as they are earned by killing enemies in both modes. You’ll gain a score multiplier for killing enemies quickly. Just stay alive and save Hostages (in Rescue) as they spawn to build the score multiplier. Playing the Arenas with an upgraded Fetch will greatly help to reach 500,000.

Turret Syndrome – Silver

– Overload 25 Turrets.

As you progress through the story you will be shown the ability to overload Turrets. All you gotta do is get behind a Turret and press the Touch Pad. The Beta Survival Arena is the best place to earn this. There will be a lot of Turrets that spawn in this Arena.

Great Responsibility – Gold

– 50 Hostage Saves.

Playing the Alpha and Beta Rescue Arenas are the best places to earn this trophy. You can save Hostages in Free Roam but they spawn more quickly and in close proximity to each other in the Battle Arenas. When a Hostage spawns, you need to quickly defeat the enemies that spawn with them. Once you get near the Hostage area, the enemies around them will start to attack the Hostage. After the enemies have been eliminated, run into the Hostage to save them.

Top  of the Class – Gold

– Earn a total of 10,000,000 points.

This trophy is an accumulation of the points you earn in the Battle Arenas. It does not need to be completed in 1 play through of an Arena. It will be a bit of a grind to earn this. Just keep playing the Battle Arenas until you reach the total.

Event Horizon – Bronze

– Defeat 100 Enemies with a Neon Singularity.

Neon Singularity is an attack that is activated by pressing Down on the d-pad when the meter is full. Defeating enemies will add to the meter. The Battle Arenas are the best place to earn this trophy as big waves of enemies will continuously spawn. You don’t need 100 enemies in a single attack. This is an accumulation trophy that will keep track of the total number of enemies you defeat with the attack.

…Bada Boom! – Silver

– Defeat 20 Enemies in a row with Homing Missiles.

You’ll learn the Homing Missiles attack as you progress through the story. Press R1 to use the attack. The Arena in which you learn this attack will spawn exactly 20 enemies for you to practice the new attack on. That is a good place to earn the trophy. Drain Neon from lights to replenish your missiles.

Fish in a Barrel – Bronze

– 25 Stasis + Weakpoint Kills.

as you progress through the story, you will learn the Stasis attack. Once learned, press L1 to freeze enemies in the air. While they are frozen, shoot the Weakpoints. You can see the Weakpoints on enemies by holding L2. It will be marked by a glowing pink Neon Cloud.
