PlayStation LifeStyle PlayList: August 23 & 24, 2014 – Reaper of Souls Edition

Diablo III was lauded by our own PMC as the PS4 version launched this week, and many of the staff have taken that same opinion and will be fighting the devil himself. Others will be battling the zombie hordes as plants, or tearing up the plants as the zombies.

Here’s what everyone is playing this weekend:

Alex Co (@excaliburps)

Easy for me. It’s going to be Diablo III for the entire weekend and beyond. Loving it so far and I can’t wait to try out the other classes. My decision to hold off on playing it on PC for the PS4 version looks to be a good one.

Cameron Teague

Tales of Xillia 2, then more of Xillia 2, with a little bit of Xillia 2 sprinkled in. Oh and some Natural Doctrine as well.

Chandler Wood (@FinchStrife)

I would love to pick up Diablo III and play it with D’yani. Finally, another couch co-op game, and I think she would love it! I’ll definitely be putting time into Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare as I am really enjoying it, though the split screen offerings leave a bit to be desired, and I like to spend time with D’yani playing co-op stuff on weekends. As soon as Sunday hits though, it’s going to be inFAMOUS First Light for review… Did you hear it includes a Platinum trophy?

D’yani Wood (@Dyani)

I seriously love Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare on my PS4, so I want to play that all weekend, however there is only one game mode that uses split-screen co-op, and a certain husband of mine doesn’t really like playing that version all day and finds it boring. So maybe I won’t be playing that all weekend. Also, I’ll be tending to my Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon duties on my 3DS. Such a commitment between those two, but I love them!

Dan Oravasaari (@FoolsJoker)

Once I am done finishing up the review I am working on, I plan on doing a bit of house keeping and finally going to watch Guardians of the Galaxy. I would like to get some personal game time in as well, but I honestly have no idea what I am going to play.

Dragos Dobre (@TheOthersiders)

I’m just going to kill my time in Dark Souls 2 if my copy of Diablo III doesn’t show up soon. Praise the sun!

Jason Dunning (@Jasonad21)

After giving up on The Last of Us Remastered because of its matchmaking issues (I’ll try again one day), my sights are now focused on Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. Hopefully I enjoy it as much as Chandler did…

Louis Edwards (@ftwrthtx)

With the NFL season rapidly approaching, I’ll be doing some in-game research in Madden NFL 15 for my Fantasy Football draft on Saturday night. I’ll also be trying to do what Tony Romo can’t seem to do, help my Cowboys win a Super Bowl.

Mark Labbe

I’m doing the whole Diablo III thing as well this week!

Paulmichael Contreras

I’m in the Diablo III crowd as well, with my wife and sister-in-law. Because it just isn’t as fun if you’re slaying the Lords of Hell by your lonesome. I may play Warframe as well, but right now that game’s admittedly on the backburner.

Ryan

Between tearing apart my living room, doing some more prototyping and some yard work, I might have some time for some more Disgaea grindage. Fingers crossed.

Zarmena Khan (@Zarmena)

Wolfenstein it is! The day I put the Wolfenstein game disc into my console, it prompted me to download an update pretty big in size. I usually let the update run while I play, and just noticed today that I’m halfway through the game but that update is still downloading. I wish they weren’t so massive! Internet speeds aren’t that awesome where I am so it kinda kills it.

Are you ready to challenge the devil this weekend? Who would you side with, the plants or the zombies? Let us know what you are playing!
