Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris Details Revealed, It’s Similar to Guardian of Light

Can’t wait for Rise of the Tomb Raider? Don’t worry, you can get your hands on Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris later this year, and the developers have been kind enough to share some details of the title for fans at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Temple of Osiris is the sequel to Crystal Dynamics’ successful 2010 platformer, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, and it’s built similarly. Shacknews reports that the game uses the same isometric angle as its predecessor. You can go hunting for rubies while taking down enemies and solving various puzzles.

Temple of Osiris shows Lara teaming up with bounty hunter Carter, and together, they hunt for a relic called ‘Staff of Osiris’. Unfortunately, Carter comes in contact with the relic, which curses both characters and hence, they set out to reverse the curse. In doing so, they team up with the son and wife of Osiris.

Gameplay-wise, the twin-stick controls from Guardian of Light have been retained, with the left stick controlling movement and the right stick controlling fire while the trigger is used to shoot. Characters have special abilities in the game. For instance, Lara and Carter can fire grappling hooks. Both also have special weapons, which include rifles and machine guns.

Temple of Osiris supports four-player local and online multiplayer. The game will be available on December 9 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
