Update:
According to Hardcore Gamer, Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds has been delayed until August 12 in North America due to problems with the submission process.
Original Story:
Originally released in Japan on March 13, 5pb. has announced that Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds will launch for the PlayStation Vita on July 29 in North America and July 30 in Europe through the PlayStation Store.
This news comes from 5pb.’s blog, where Producer Masaki Sakari talks about how this is the first time they’ve released a game worldwide on PS Vita, and it hasn’t been pleasant. With each region of SCE having different pre-release certifications, it means certain things okay in one region wouldn’t be in another, with Sakari adding how Sony – especially the European branch – wasn’t open to the idea of bending the rules during negotiations.
Overall though, Sakari says it’s been a big learning experience that should prove useful going forward.
